When you have the opportunity, watch the opposing team during their pregame IF & OF practice. You can see the strong arms, weak ones, the third baseman can’t charge the ball, observe the catcher’s foot work, etc. I know a fabulous HS Coach who has won several state championships and part of his team’s normal pregame is to line up on the first base or third base line for 5 minutes and OBSERVE the opposing team. Huge mistake if you don’t use this to your advantage!
